Here is the part the licence table does not show. Odoo's own Australian partners publish what deployments really cost: one puts a 30-plus-user implementation at A$100,000 to A$250,000 or more, with year-two-onwards running costs of A$40,000 to A$80,000 a year. Partner rates in Australia run A$120 to A$350 an hour.
To be fair to Odoo, a vanilla Odoo Online instance is genuinely cheap, and it upgrades itself for free. The trouble is that manufacturers cannot run vanilla. Dimensional material, offcuts, heat numbers, and quoting from drawings all mean custom modules, and Odoo's own documentation is direct about what that costs you at upgrade time: a database with custom modules 'cannot be upgraded until a version of your custom modules is available for the target version', the upgrade guarantee excludes custom code, and each major version is supported for three years before surcharges apply. A new version ships every year. Partners publish migration projects from about US$5,000 to US$40,000, and the clock restarts each release.
So in a year when a migration lands, that A$40,000–80,000 running cost can clear A$90,000. None of it appears on the pricing page.
